Preschool: The Foundational Prepared Environment

Our Preschool programs, known as Orange Babies, follow the authentic Montessori approach. We foster independence, concentration, and a genuine love for learning through discovery in a carefully prepared setting.

Our Two Core Programs:

  • Toddler Program (12 - 36 Months): Focuses on crucial developmental milestones, including toilet training, refinement of movement, and early language acquisition. We emphasize Grace and Courtesy as the starting point for social skills.
  • Casa dei Bambini (3 - 6 Years): Features a mixed-age classroom focusing on Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture (Botany, Zoology, Geography). This phase builds concrete foundations for abstract thought.

Primary School: Cosmic Education and Montessori Mastery

Our Primary School (Grades 1-6) is divided into the Foundation Phase (Gr 1-3) and the Intermediate Phase (Gr 4-6), both guided by the integrated Cosmic Education approach.

  • Foundation Phase (Gr 1-3): Focused on key skills mastery (reading, writing, arithmetic) using the Five Great Lessons to inspire imaginative learning and detailed research across all cultural subjects.
  • Intermediate Phase (Gr 4-6): Learners apply abstract reasoning to integrated academic studies, taking responsibility for their own learning through research and Going Out excursions.
  • Interconnected Learning: Maths, Science, History, and Language are taught as one whole, revealing the interconnectedness of the universe.
Ages 12 - 18 | Grades 7 - 12

High School: CAPS, IEB, and the Adolescent Program

The Lanto High School provides a rigorous academic structure encompassing the Senior Phase (Gr 7-9) with CAPS and the FET Phase (Gr 10-12) culminating in the IEB qualification. School hours are 7h00 to 14h00.

  • Grade 7-9 (Senior Phase): CAPS-aligned curriculum taught through practical, hands-on, and community-oriented projects.
  • Grade 10-12 (FET Phase): Comprehensive, university-focused preparation for the highly respected IEB external examinations.
  • Uniform: School uniforms (purple & yellow tracksuits, jerseys, etc.) are available at the school's uniform store.

  • Practical Life Extensions: Advanced work in organization, research, and self-management.

Intermediate Phase (Gr 4-6)

Cultivating Independent Thinkers and Global Citizens
